If you’re the kind of person who already has half the year mentally planned out – big matches circled in the calendar, festival dates saved, family celebrations pencilled in – then 2026 is probably looking pretty promising already. And if you’re more of a go with the flow type, don’t worry, there’s plenty ahead to get excited about too. Either way, over here at Hog Roast Leith, we’re gearing up for what’s destined to be a seriously good year.
As the weeks roll on, our diary is starting to fill with all sorts of events, and we love seeing the variety come in. From mega birthday celebrations and romantic Valentine’s meals to weddings that have been years in the making, plus those laid-back summer shindigs – it’s a great mix. And being part of those moments – big and small – is what makes our job as caterers such a privilege.
It’s also been lovely to kick off the year hearing from a combination of familiar faces and brand-new clients. Some people know exactly what they want from the first message, others come to us with a rough idea and a lot of room for suggestions. Both are more than welcome. One thing about Hog Roast Leith is that we’re always happy to chat things through and help create something that fits the occasion.
Which brings us to what’s got us especially excited about this new year: the chance to push ourselves a little further creatively. While hog roasts have always been – and will always be – close to our hearts, they’re far from the only thing Hog Roast Leith has to offer.

Last year saw us branching out in all different directions -from curry lunches to proper fish and chip feasts – and we loved every minute of it. If you’ve got an idea that’s a bit different, or a menu that doesn’t quite fit the mould, don’t be shy about suggesting it. Some of our favourite events start with an out of the box request.
At the end of the day, no gathering is complete without something tasty to keep people happy and fuel the fun. And if you’re after catering that’s relaxed, stress-free and genuinely enjoyable then Hog Roast Leith has you covered.
